    Cellulite

If you are one of the 90 percent of women who suffer from excess cellulite, you may be able to enjoy smoother skin and eliminate that nasty orange peel look by taking regular exercise and eating properly. However, there are various other ways to get rid of cellulite or at least camouflage it effectively, if you can’t get rid of it by natural means.

Most of us know cellulite by the not so flattering names such as hail damaged skin, orange peel skin and cottage cheese skin, although the technical names for the unsightly skin condition include gynoid lipodystroph, adiposis edematosa, and dermopanniculosis deformans. Regardless of what you call it, it is caused by fat beneath the skin beingulled up to the surface by fibrous tissue. The dimpled or lumpy look is often caused by unusual pressure, which makes the fat cells press against the skin in irregular patterns. These balloons or deposits of fat are forced upwards towards the skin, as they literally have nowhere else to go. Cellulite can be caused by a poor diet, although there are various other causes, such as a slow metabolism, obesity, changes in hormones and genetics.

How To Get Rid of Cellulite

If you have cellulite, you probably want to get rid of it and may well have tried one of the many creams and other products which promise to do just that, although many do not deliver what they promised. If you suffer from allergies or a circulatory disease, some of these creams can actually be harmful and your doctor may well recommend a more natural approach, such as a change of diet, cosmetic treatment or exercise.

    Cellulite Treatment

Most women and even some men find that the best treatment for their cellulite is that dispensed by a cosmetic surgeon or dermatologist. These treatments are able to eliminate or at least reduce the fatty deposits, make the skin look much healthier and more attractive and break the tissue bands that cause the condition.

    Cellulaze

This laser procedure stimulates the healing production of collagen and the procedure was recently given the seal of approval by the FDA. A device that melts the fat is inserted under the skin by means of several small incisions, and it works by breaking apart the bands of tissue that connect the underneath of the skin to the fat.

    Tummy Tuck and Liposuction

Most of us are familiar with these methods of making the skin look young and healthy once more.

    Acoustic Wave Therapy

This method uses similar technology to the shock wave therapy used to break apart kidney stones, and works by breaking up the tissue that causes the skin to dimple, with sound waves. It is yet another technique that anyone with too much unsightly cellulite may want to consider.

    Fat Grafting

Lumpy and depressed areas of the skin are filled in by using your own fat, obtained from other areas on your body and this method of removing cellulite is often used along with subcision surgery.

    Subcision Surgery

The bands of tissue that are causing the fat to accumulate are removed by a cutting tool placed under the skin. This innovative surgical technique has typically yielded positive long term results.

However, you may be able to get rid of your cellulite by exercising, and cardio, burst and interval techniques of exercise are all effective. These include the following exercise routines, all of which can put you ahead in the fight to prevent the fat build up.

1.) Stimulate circulation and improve your lymphatic system by jumping up and down on a trampoline.

2.) Tighten skin on the buttocks and thighs by doing butt lifts.

    3.) Stretching exercises.

4.) Improve metabolism, lose fat and tighten skin with leg lifts.

    5.) High intensity interval training.

6.) Using cast iron weights for kettle bell exercises.

You can also prevent fat deposits from accumulating by eating the right foods and practicing some tested home remedies. You can regulate estrogen levels naturally, provide nutrients and stimulate collagen production by eating flax seed and kelp. The following suggestions have no harmful side effects and can potentially provide other health benefits:

Balance your hormone levels and improve overall health by using natural methods.

Reduce your intake of toxin laden processed foods which can lead to a hormone imbalance; avoid trans fats and eat foods containing Omega 3.

Regular exercise can stop fat from building up under the skin, along with a balanced and healthy diet.

Herbal treatments can stimulate fat loss and release toxins from the body, and you can replenish essential nutrients by taking a herbal or seaweed bath.

Too much sugar and salt lead to stress and high blood pressure; reduce your intake of both.

You can eliminate toxins from the body and remain hydrated by drinking plenty of water each day.

    Cellulite Diet

You can enjoy better looking skin, less fat and weight loss by eating the right foods, and there are some foods which are ideal for anyone on a diet and trying to fight cellulite. Make sure you stimulate your metabolism and burn more calories on a daily basis by eating a healthy breakfast.

Drink plenty of water and liquids to remain hydrated.

    Eat eggs for the lecithin.

Eliminate fat, lower stress and improve metabolic health by drinking green tea.

Lower fat consumption and improve your skin with raw vegetables and fruit.

For Vitamin c and beta carolene, eat green, leafy vegetables.

    Cellulite Cream

Retinol attacks the free radicals that destroy collagen and you should look for creams containing it. If your cellulite is caused by poor circulation, look for Aminophylline creams, and you may have poor circulation if you constantly have cold feet or hands.

Unfortunately, some of the creams available can offer a temporary cure and make your skin look better for a while, but don’t work in the long term. Hydration therapy doesn’t remove fatty dimples or lumps in the skin although it is good for improving circulation. Until you are able to consult your doctor or dermatologist, always use natural treatments and remedies when attempting to get rid of your cellulite. that way, you will not be taken in by the products that promise wonders but do little.
